Employment Application

We are seeking to employ a full time Electrician to work at our Island Resort, situated on South Stradbroke Island, just 35 minutes by ferry from Hope Island on the Gold Coast, Queensland.

The purpose of this position is to repair and maintain all electrical and other associated equipment as required to operate the resort. Our electricians need to have an understanding and be able to operate the following systems & equipment:

• Energy Management System
• Power Station Equipment
• Water Plant & associated Equipment
• Sewage Plant & all associated Equipment
• Computerised Maintenance Management System

 In order to apply for this position, you must meet the following selection criteria:

• Must hold a current Queensland Electrical Fitter / Mechanic Licence
• Previous experience in a Resort or similar organisation would be advantageous
• Have already obtained or be willing to obtain suitable qualifications in confined space entry.
• Have already obtained or be willing to obtain Senior First Aid / CPR qualifications
• Have already obtained or be willing to obtain L.V. Rescue Certificate
• Must have current QLD drivers licence

Please note that the successful candidate will be willing to stay employed with us for 12 months following the receipt of any qualifications paid for by the Resort, or alternatively to reimburse the Company for any qualifications received during the course of employment.

This position is full time, based on a 7 day roster, with 2 Rostered Day’s Off per week. The successful candidate will be flexible in the hours they can work, as it may be necessary to do over-time occasionally if the business necessitates.
