The following positions are available:
Food and Beverage AttendantsWe are currently looking for experienced Food & Beverage Attendants who would like to work in a unique environment that provides its staff with competitive hourly rates and excellent employee benefits, including free travel to and from work via ferry and free secure parking at Hope Harbour.
If you can meet the following selection criteria, then we would love to hear from you:
- Solid Food & Beverage experience in a professional operation, with bar experience being a definite advantage.
- Demonstrated commitment to providing exceptional customer service.
- Current RSA Certification would be an advantage.
- Commitment to training and multi-skilling programs.
- Effective interpersonal skills and a friendly personality.
- Professional presentation & ability to adhere to our grooming policies.
- The successful applications will work in either our Events department.
- You must be available to work around a 7 day rotating roster.

Electrician
We are seeking to employ a full time Electrician to work at our Island Resort, situated on South Stradbroke Island, just 35 minutes by ferry from Hope Island on the Gold Coast, Queensland.
- Energy Management System.
- Power Station Equipment.
- Water Plant & associated Equipment.
- Sewage Plant & all associated Equipment.
- Computerised Maintenance Management System.
In order to apply for this position, you must meet the following selection criteria:.
- Must hold a current Queensland Electrical Fitter / Mechanic Licence..
- Previous experience in a Resort or similar organisation would be advantageous..
- Have already obtained or be willing to obtain suitable qualifications in confined space entry..
- Have already obtained or be willing to obtain Senior First Aid / CPR qualifications..
- Have already obtained or be willing to obtain L.V. Rescue Certificate..
- Must have current QLD drivers licence.
Please note that the successful candidate will be willing to stay employed with us for 12 months following the receipt of any qualifications paid for by the Resort, or alternatively to reimburse the Company for any qualifications received during the course of employment.
This position is full time, based on a 7 day roster, with 2 Rostered Day’s Off per week. The successful candidate will be flexible in the hours they can work, as it may be necessary to do over-time occasionally if the business necessitates.
Resort Duty Manager
We are seeking an enthusiastic and talented candidate who will assist the Assistant Front Office Manager in taking full responsibility and accountability for Front Office daily operations at the Resort. To ensure that all guest requirements are exceeded and to actively contribute to the implementation of policies, procedures and training.
The successful candidate will posess the following skills:
- A minimum of 2 years Front Office managerial experience (Assistant Manager level) within a 4 Star Hotel or Resort environment.
- A sound knowledge of Reservations.
- A passion for providing exceptional guest service and for ensuring excellent standards of grooming.
- Demonstrated ability to lead, train and develop a team of individuals.
- Ability to set targets, take responsibility, and develop and establish policies, procedures and systems.
- Excellent administrative and computer skills.
- Exceptional interpersonal and business communication skills.
- Ability to organise, prioritise and operate effectively within a high-pressure environment.
- Professional presentation and a confident, personable manner.

Assistant Events Coordinator
We seek an enthusiastic and talented candidate who will demonstrate high levels of initiative, and who will provide exceptional service and client support to ensure our conference, events and incentive programs are a great success.
The successfull candidate will posess the following attributes:
- Proven experience as an Event Co-ordinator or similar role within a Four Star Hotel or Resort environment.
- Sound knowledge of Event Floor Operations.
- Demonstrated ability in managing a complex contractual process (including finalisation of contract details).
- Excellent computer and administrative skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, and Access) is essential.
- Experience in Event Pro Banquet software would be advantageous.
- Proven experience in building business links within the Events Industry.
- Exceptional interpersonal and business communication skills (including a proactive response to client enquiries).
- Proven ability to Organise and Prioritise effectively.
- Professional presentation and a confident, personable manner.
- Sound knowledge of Event Floor Operations.

Kitchen Steward
We are currently seeking an enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Kitchen Steward.
The successful candidate will posess the following attributes:
- Knowledge of cleaning products and equipment an advantage.
- Exceptional standards of cleanliness.
- Sense of urgency and eye for detail.
- Excellent presentation, versatility and initiative.
- Mature approach and ability to operate with limited supervision.
- Availability to work shift work on a 7 day Roster.
- Current, clean drivers license.

Public Areas Attendant
We are currently seeking an enthusiastic individual to actively contribute to our team as a Public Area Cleaner.
The successful candidate will posess the following skills and attributes:
- Previous Public Area experience within a similar professional environment (Four Star Hotel or Resort) would be an advantage,including knowledge of cleaning products, chemicals and equipment.
- A sense of urgency and great attention to detail.
- Be physically fit, possess energy, versatility and initiative.
- Ability to operate as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
- A positive, proactive response to guest requests.
- You will be well groomed, self-motivated, and energetic and your approach to work will be organised.
- Current clean manual drivers license.

Day Spa Beauty Therapist
We are seeking a qualified Beauty Therapist to join our wonderful Day Spa team. You will be reporting directly to the Day Spa Manager and your main role will include providing exceptional services and treatments to all guests by following department-operating standards, whilst maintaining an utmost professional manner and appearance.
Other key requirements include:
- Relevant Beauty Therapy qualifications with similar experience in a professional environment (Health Spa, Hotel or Resort).
- A minimum of 2 years experience within the Beauty / Day Spa industry
- Some experience in a variety of Massage techniques.
- Excellent grooming, superior communication skills and a positive, nurturing approach to clients.
- Thalgo product/treatment knowledge desirable but not essential.
- Must be able to work both week days and weekends between the hours of 10:30am and 7:00pm
- Administrative experience is desirable but not essential.

We are looking for Chefs who are passionate about food, motivated and career orientated. If you are looking for a life/work style change then we want to hear from you.
Candidates must be:
- Trade qualified / experienced in a resort or hotel work environment.
- Team players with a "Can Do" attitude.
- A demonstrated ability to take control of your section and make it your own.
- HACCAP knowledge an advantage.
- Experience in banquets and event operations in hotel/resort would be an advantage.
This salaried position requires you to be available on weekends and public holidays over a rotating roster.

Retail Coordinator
We are seeking an experienced Retail Coordinator to join our Retail/Purchasing Department in this full time position.
The selection criteria for this position is as follows:
- Proven experience in the same role within a busy Hotel/Resort environment with a strong sales and customer service focus.
- A personality that generates excitement about the resorts facilities and is confident about delivering them to our guests.
- Proven experience in the Management of stock purchasing, stock taking, costing and pricing Previous experience with retail inventory including the accurate use of internal systems such as CHECK and InfoGenesis.
- Solid understanding of current resort merchandise with the capability of sourcing and liaising with suppliers.
- A demonstrated ability to plan and design new merchandise as required whilst working within budgetary guidelines.
- The ability to organize, prioritise, operate autonomously and work well under pressure will be critical to your success.
- Professional presentation and exceptional interpersonal and business communication skills time management skills.
- Weekend and shift work is a pre-requisite for this position.
